Timeless Elegance

This great house in Northeast Evanston was on the market for over two years...until my clients saw it and fell in love with it, even with the kitchen being an absolute disaster! The very small awkward-shaped footprint had an unusable bay window and a never-used enclosed back staircase. We removed the bay window and back staircase, and replaced it with three light-filled windows and floor framing to maximize the footprint. We also removed an existing butler’s door into the formal dining room and replaced it with an eight foot wide cased opening. Custom cabinets were installed throughout the kitchen, including one to enclose the refrigerator. All in all, my clients are super-happy with their kitchen, and cook wonderful meals for their family every day!
